Veterinary Treatment and Medication

Fusspots Cattery will administer any medication prescribed by a veterinarian (excluding injections) with reasonable care and skill. While all reasonable care and attention will be given to each cat, Fusspots Cattery shall not be liable for any illness, injury, or death suffered by a cat during its stay, except where such loss or damage is caused by the negligence of Fusspots Cattery.

The Owner authorises Fusspots Cattery to seek veterinary treatment without prior consultation where it is deemed necessary in an emergency.

In the case of suspected injury or illness to a cat(s) boarding at Fusspots Cattery, a Veterinary Surgeon (Vet) may be contacted; the cat may be examined, and investigations performed if required (e.g. blood tests, x-rays) and an appropriate course of action will be taken on the advice of the Vet including euthanasia if deemed humane and necessary by the Vet.

Where the cat’s regular veterinary practice is located within a ten-mile radius of Fusspots Cattery, treatment will be sought otherwise, treatment will be provided by Uplands Way Veterinary Clinic

If treatment is required at Uplands Way Vets owners details may be shared with the clinic. Uplands Way Veterinary Clinic may need to liaise with the cat’s regular veterinarian and access the cat’s medical history as part of providing appropriate care.

Veterinary bills incurred through unrelated or pre-existing conditions, diagnosed or not, will be the responsibility of the owner. Repayment of these fees will be required within 24 hours.
